How to start the game

The main menu of this game features two options for players to choose from: "Host" or "Client". The host starts the game by clicking the host button and then shares their IP address with a friend. The friend inputs the IP address to the text input field at the bottom, clicks "Client" and joins their friend in the game.

Additionally, there is a tutorial section available where players can learn how to play the game and understand its mechanics. The background music can be muted using the "Mute" option, providing players with an option to turn off the music while they play.

The gameboard features an exciting hunting game where the objective is to defeat the opponent by reducing their health to zero. The hunters and ducks have their respective health meters, and players take turns using their resources to play cards and attack their opponents. The hunters use gold as their primary resource, while the ducks use eggs to play their cards. Each team has its unique set of cards that they can use to damage their opponents or protect themselves from attacks. The gameboard offers a challenging and strategic experience as players must carefully manage their resources and use them effectively to emerge victorious.

How our

Sprints
went

Sprint 1

The sprint goal was to create a game template. The first step was to define the game rules. After that we learned about Unity, a tool we have chosen to make the game with. The remaining two stories were to create base game elements and design the front and the back of the factions. The goal was achieved.

Sprint 2

For us this sprint started with being filmed for the project of a group of SU students. Based on feedback, apart from the noise in the room, they were satisfied with the gained material. The goal was to upgrade our game template into a playable multiplayer game. Unfortunately, the network implementation part was more challenging than expected, so the goal was not completely achieved. Additionally to the part that was done, we also created an Initial and End Page.

Sprint 3

Because of the holiday, the third sprint was one day shorter than the previous ones. We decided to utilize the time as efficiently as possible and focused on the multiplayer part remaining from the previous sprint. In order to parallelize the work, one part of the team was working on the card design, sound effects and info page. The increment was visible and the highlight of the week was the audience's reaction to the game demo.

Sprint 4

For the fourth sprint we aimed to finish the game, in terms of fully integrating multiplayer and polishing the UI. Additionally, we worked on this website, tutorial within the game, animations and deployment of the game. We also prepared for the online Expo. After four weeks working on our game we are eagerly awaiting for our visitors to test it and share their impressions with us!
